2020 Kia Telluride Review

There's a brand-new Kia hitting the market, and it's designed to take you where your next adventure is, around Ithaca, Corning, and Binghamton. The 2020 Kia Telluride hits the market in the spring of 2019, and at Maguire Kia, we want you to know all about this standout SUV joining the Kia lineup.

In this review, we'll take a closer look at vehicle performance, interior amenities, and some of the helpful safety features designed to keep you and those in the vehicle with you protected.

Kia Telluride Performance Specs

The 2020 Telluride carries a powerful 3.8-liter V6 engine as its powertrain, linked to a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine delivers 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, helping you take on the roads ahead. It also carries a standard Class III 5,000-pound towing capability, so bring along a trailer or jet ski for a weekend adventure.

While the wheels are in motion, choose the driver mode most suited for your current needs. The available Snow mode and on-demand center-locking differential provides off-roading capability. There are four separate drive modes for your on-road experience: Comfort, Eco, Sport, and Smart. With available all-wheel-drive, you can get a better grip on the road, which comes in handy when the weather isn't cooperating.

Interior Amenities

Take control with a comfortable driver's cockpit, featuring an 8-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ standard. This allows you to link a smartphone up to the touchscreen and interact with it. Read text messages, use your favorite map app, or choose a song from your playlist to jam out to next. There's also an available 10.25-inch screen, which makes it easier to interact with certain features. You can also connect more than one phone using wireless Bluetooth® technology.

As for the seating, the available reclining dual captain's chairs can be slid forward with a quick press of a button for easy access to the third row, with rear passengers having access to available dual sunroofs and standard USB ports. It depends on the way you want to set things up, but there's space for either seven or eight passengers inside the Kia Telluride.

Have Help at Your Side with Kia DRIVE WiSE

The Kia DRIVE WiSE technology in the Telluride can give you a helping hand while driving. The available Blind Spot View Monitor provides a live feed of your current blind spots. If you attempt to change lanes while an object is detected in your blind spot, the standard Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist-Rear will help maintain your previous course.

Meanwhile, the available Surround View Monitor provides a bird's eye view of your surroundings, using four separate exterior-mounted cameras. Gain better awareness before making that next maneuver.
